Abstract
[ABSTRACT]OBJECTIVETo investigate the relationship among the data of the structure of upper airway, <br> polysomnography(PSG) and automatic continuous positive airway pressure(auto-CPAP) treatment in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS). METHODSThirty four cases of OSAHS patients came to Beijing Tongren Hospital between June and December in 2015 were included in this study. Spiral CT scanned from nasopharyngeal to the level of the cricoid cartilage continuously were performed. The data of district diameter and left-right diameter of the levels of hard palate, uvula tip, tongue and epiglottis under calm breathing were collected. The correlation of the data of auto-CPAP ventilation in the treatment of OSAHS with the data of structure of the upper airway was analyzed. RESULTSThe level of uvula tip was the narrowest level of upper airway (11.10±3.77) mm in left-right diameter and (8.54±3.44) mm in district diameter). AHI got negative correlation with the average oxygen saturation (r=-0.724), the distance of inferior margin of the mandibular bone to the hyoid bone (r=-0.755) and the left-right diameter of the level of hard palate (r=-0.404). The lowest oxygen saturation(LSaO2) was positively correlated with the average oxygen saturation (r=0.624) and height (r=0.501), but negatively correlated with the left-right diameter of the level of tongue (r=-0.468). The treatment pressure of auto-CPAP with 90% effective was positively correlated with body mass index (r=0.406) and negatively with LSaO2(r=-0.384) and left-right diameter of the level of hard palate (r=-0.367).CONCLUSIONThe CT of upper airway can provide information for predicting the severity of OSAHS and treatment pressure of auto-CPAP. The left-right diameter of the level of hard palate affects the AHI and the pressure of CPAP respectively.关键词
