Time schedule based MAC protocol for underwater wireless sensor networks
摘要
Abstract
Underwater wireless sensor networks are significantly different from terrestrial wireless sensor networks in that sound is mainly used as the communication medium .The long propagation de-lay ,limited bandwidth and spatial-temporal dynamics pose great challenges in media access control (MAC) protocol design for underwater wireless sensor networks .In this paper ,a time schedule based MAC protocol for underwater wireless sensor networks with data train is proposed ,called MAC-DT . It introduces a time schedule and improves the channel utilization by forming a train of data packets with the time schedule .Simulations on NS2 show that the MAC-DT is able to achieve much higher throughput .关键词
