泰国经济特区的潜力和机遇
Potential and opportunity of special economic zones in Thailand
摘要
Abstract
In recent years, the annual growth of border trade of Thailand is more than 20%, but its annual growth of global market trade is only 8%. Border trade is still the main trade mode that keeps continuous trade surplus for Thailand, whose annual average value of trade is about 900 billion baht and has a trend of rapid growth, especially after the establishment of ASEAN Economic Community in the end of 2015. In the recent two or three years, the global market trade of Thailand has been in deficit, which is mainly due to the restrictions of different development modes between member states. At the same time, the government is aimed at the development of neighboring borders connecting ASEAN region, in order to improve and enhance the quality of life of the public, and promoting trade and investment. The most important purpose of it is to support the development of ASEAN Economic Community. Therefore, the government of Thailand decides to establish special economic zones at the border. The first phase of construction of special economic zones of Thailand includes five areas:Tak, Sa Kaeo, Trat, Mukdahan and Songkhla. SWOT analysis method is applied to analyze the development of special economic zones of Thailand, and some development suggestions are brought forward.关键词
