Abstract
Ouyang Qun,a professor and a chief physician of Southern Medical University,had been vice president of Association of China Acupuncture and Moxibustion for several terms,director of Military Chinese Medicine Association,vice chairman of Association of Guangdong Province Acupuncture and Moxibustion,consultant of Association of Chinese Acupuncture in Argentina,etc.Professor Ouyang Qun has studied umbilical moxibustion treatment since 1960s.From 1980s to 1990s,he had studied the effectiveness of Moxibustion with Chinese herbal medicine and salt at Shenque acupoint on immune system function and done other related researches.He had also proven the treatment method is effective in theory.As such,he was awarded the third place in military technology progress prize.After retirement in 1993,through continuous improvement,he developed a systemic treatment technique and formula of Chinese herbal medicine for Moxibustion with salt at Shenque acupoint.The treatment method has been implemented in countless clinical cases in Gaoming Maternal and Child Health Hospital and Guangdong 999 Brain Hospital since 2004,and finally developed into a large scale effective umbilical moxibustion treatment.This paper introduces the clinical experience of Professor Ouyang in treating insomnia by Moxibustion with Chinese herbal medicine and salt at Shenque acupoint.关键词
