摘要

Abstract

Joint operation is the main form of modern war. Distributed joint warfighting platforms need to share information to make a common picture of detected objects in the surveillance area. The mechanism of link 16 for maintaining situation consistaney among distributed platform is studied. This paper discusses the overall design,the track report process,the messages supporting surveillance,and the major shortcomings of link 16. A modified information architecture that promotes information sharing among distributed units and processing resident at each unit to enable shared knowledge are introduced.
