Health and medical expenditure and the level of health of the general public：a correlative study
摘要
Abstract
Objective To obtain scientific understanding of the distribution of health and medical expenses across the country and to understand the correlation of the amount of expenditure available to the residents in the advanced regions of China to their level of health and that in the under developed regions in China , so as to provide accurate intelligence for the government to make reasonable policy of investment in health care expenses .Method Referring to the related data in the Statistical Yearbook , we used correlation and linear regression analysis to analyze the relationship between the level of health and per capita health care expenditure .Findings On the whole , Regression coefficients of per capita health costs and mortality and per capita life expectancy were 0.353 and -0.589, respectively.However, in the regions where adequate health expenditure was avaible , there was no significant difference in the regression coefficient between per capita health costs and mortality and per capita life expectancy .In the regions with inadequate health costs , the regression coefficients were 0.320 and -0.589 respectively.Conclusion Continued growth in health care costs does not bring significant sustained improvement in health level of the residents .When the per capita health care costs are up to a certain extent, increasing health care costs does not have a significant impact on the health status of the residents .关键词
