Translating for the Times：Translation Magazine, World Literature and the "Seventeen-year" Literature Translation
摘要
Abstract
In the "Seventeen-year" period, Translation Magazine (1953—1958) &World Literature (1959—1964, 1966) is the only official periodical in rendering foreign literature. Divided by the renaming year of 1959, the fore-and-aft translating activities of this pe-riodical are sharply different, conducted by political situation and the main ideology, home and abroad. Translation Magazine is notable for its "Leaning to one side" Sino-Soviet friendship and fighting against the "Capitalistic Camp" with solidarity. Unlikely, World Literature is aiming at uniting the democratic nations of Asia, Africa, and Latin America, resisting American Imperialism and Soviet Revisionism. To Translation Magazine & World Literature, their literature translation is the specific outcome of identical era, holding the top priority in "Politics Norms".关键词
