摘要

Abstract

Some problems exist in monitoring and evaluating tank bottom corrosion by acoustic emission ( AE) technology,such as complex corrosion acoustic emission sources and difficulty in acquiring corro-sion signals from the centre zone of large storage tank bottom. AE all-region monitoring experiment and multi-source weak acoustic signal extraction were conducted in order to solve these key problems. Based on the sensor immersion and embedded layouts,AE all-region monitoring method is put forward and then a short baseline plane grid identification method is established to determine the AE source distribution in tank bottom. Experimental results indicate that AE source distribution can be identified accurately and the method provides the theoretical and experimental basis for the assessment of tank bottom corrosion.
