脑年龄估值差对健康老龄大脑认知储备的定量分析
Quantitative Analysis of Cognitive Reserve of the Healthy Elder Brain Based on BrainAGE

Abstract
Cognitive reserve interprets individual differences in susceptibility to deterioration of cognitive functions in the dementia and other brain degradation of brain substance. Traditionally, cognitive reserve is estimated indirectly by measuring static proxy variables. Imaging studies have shown that subjects with neurodegenerative disease have higher brain age gap estimation (BrainAGE) scores due to advanced brain ageing. The present study extends BrainAGE to evaluate cognitive reserve on a cohort of 72 healthy older adults who underwent several neuropsychological tests and structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The result showed that people with lower BrainAGE scores are more resilient than others. These suggest that changes in BrainAGE may capture how brain network dynamicaly adapts itself to compensate brain damage, and BrainAGE could be an alternative proxy for cognitive reserve than other static cognitive reserve proxies.关键词
