融合环回和源路由的MPLS-TP网络高效环保护方法
Efficient ring protection for MPLS-TP networks based on merging wrapping and steering
摘要
Abstract
Wrapping and Steering are two basic ring protection methods for MPLS-TP (Multi-Protocol Label Switching Transport Profile)networks.Merging them can help to reduce the loss and delay of data packets.But the existing merging methods contain redundancy in the transmission paths of control packets and the switch delay.To address the problem,a novel ring protection method,EWAS (Efficient Wrapping and Steering),is proposed.EWAS decreases the path redundan-cy by simplifying the path of control packets,thus reducing the control overhead and the switch delay.Moreover,EWAS lets the intermediate nodes automatically switch paths of data packets so as to reduce the times of forwarding data packets. Theoretical analysis verifies the effectiveness of EWAS.Simulation results show that EWAS decreases the control overhead and the switch delay by more than 20.55%and 1 5.1 8%,respectively,as compared with Wrapping,Steering,and WAS.关键词
