A New Magnetoelectric Laminate Based High-Current Sensor

摘要

Abstract

A new type of high-current sensor is designed and developed in this paper.Its hardcore is a disc-shaped magnetoelectric laminate based on piezoelectric material PZT and magnetoelectric material Terfenol-D.Combined with the ferrite magnetic circular,the sensor can measure power-frequency current over the range of A~102 A.The structure of this current sensor has the advantages of no-circuit-connection and no-extra-source-supply.Thus,it is convenient to install,maintain or uninstall.The experiment results illustrate that the sensor has an electric current sensitivity of 0.058 5 V/A,and the sensor shows good reliability.This new type of a high-current sensor has great potential of further researches and applications.
