Efficacy of Trabeculectomy with Mitomycin C and Amniotic Membrane Implantation for Canine Glaucoma
摘要
Abstract
To probe into the efficacy of trabeculectomy with mitomycin C and amniotic membrane implanta-tion for canine glaucoma,the models of glaucoma in 24 eyes of 12 dogs were successfully established.Dogs with artificially induced glaucoma were randomly divided into 4 treatment groups:common trabeculectomy (CT group),trabeculectomy combined with mitomycin C (MMC group),trabeculectomy combined with amniotic membrane (AM group),and trabeculectomy combined with mitomycin C and amniotic membrane (AM + MMC group),6 eyes per each treatment,and each dog in two eyes was asked to use different sur-gical methods.The postoperative intraocular pressure,filtering bleb,complication and fibrous tissue prolif-eration were taken as indexes to evaluate the treatment efficacy of glaucoma.The results showed that trab-eculectomy with mitomycin C and amniotic membrane implantation was better than other groups in reduc-ing the intraocular pressure,maintaining the function bleb long time,decreasing scarring and complication.关键词
