Abstract
Objective:To develop a newborn care capacity questionnaire and to test its reliability and validity. Methods:According to the theory of knowledge and behavior,the literature review and Delphi method were used to form the initial questionnaires.The validity of the questionnaire was analyzed by exploratory factor analysis and content validity.The internal consistency coefficient and bisected reliability were used to evaluate the relia-bility of the questionnaire.Results:The newborn care capacity questionnaire included 3 dimensions and 43 items of care knowledge,care behavior and care attitude.The Cronbach’sαcoefficient of the general questionnaire and each dimension were 0.848,0.801,0.856 and 0.887,respectively.The split half reliabilities of the total ques-tionnaire and all the dimensions were 0.891,0.833,0.730,0.865 respectively.Exploratory factor analysis ex-tracted three common factors,with load factor from 0.626 to 0.924,which can explain the variance of 78.629%.The questionnaire content validity index was 0.924.Conclusions:The newborn care capacity questionnaire has good relia-bility and validity and can be used to measure the newborn care ability of pregnant women and their families.关键词
