Abstract

The recycling and utilization of CO2 flooding produced gas is favorable not only to environmental protection, but also to resources utilization and improving economic benefit, so reasonable recovery and utilization of CO2 flooding produced gas will become the trend of future development. The characteristics of CO2 flooding produced gas were analyzed, and the separation and purification processes for the CO2 flooding produced gas were introduced, including the technologies of chemical absorption, pressure swing adsorption, membrane separation and cryogenic distillation, and their technical principle and the advantages and disadvantages were discussed and compared. It is concluded that the cryogenic distillation + membrane method is suitable for CO2 content higher than 70%by volume and medium-scale CO2 flooding produced gas collection;the cryogenic distillation+chemical absorption method is suitable for the high CO2 content and large-scale CO2 flooding produced gas collection; and the membrane separation + chemical absorption method is suitable for the CO2 flooding produced gas collection with CO2 content higher than 60% by volume and no water.
