“Showing Solicitude for the Agriculture” and “Straightening Officials”-The Related Thought and Practice from Yan Jingming, a Famous Minister in the Late Qing Dynasty
摘要
Abstract
Yan Jingming was a famous official in the late Qing Dynasty. He appreciated deeply on the living conditions of farm⁃ers. He had a sincere and magnanimous complex on showing solicitude for the agricultural. It is his important official philosophy to straighten officials in order to show solicitude for the agricultural. In a certain sense, it is the reflection of his showing solicitude for the farmers advocating incorrupt and thriftiness, punishing corruption to uphold justice, reorganizing corvee, taking strict precautions against embezzling, especially paying attention to the throttle on conducting financial transactions. The related concept and his out⁃standing achievements not only reflects the extreme importance and the inherent relevance on perceiving officials and showing solici⁃tude for the agriculture, but also reflects the root of culture and value pursuit in his heart.关键词
