The Influence of Buddhism to the New Change of the Deformation Stories about Animals in Wei, Jin, Sui and Tang Dynasties
摘要
Abstract
s:In Wei, Jin, Sui and Tang Dynasties, the Buddhist disseminated their religion through the native deformation sto⁃ries about animals, and new changes appeared in these stories which absorb the ideas such as karma and samsara. Based on the orig⁃inal stories which focus on the ancestor worship and lay stress on the change of the animal’ s body, in these new stories, the idea of karma played important roles to explain why body changed between people and animals, and samsara strengthened these changing stories. At the same time, the group of animal images and the world of animals were constructed;stories about the huge things of o⁃versea were depleted;new stories about the changes between people and animals that originated from abroad were accepted at that time. The native deformation stories about animals showed more human feelings under the influence of Buddhism.关键词
