Preliminary Exploration of the Mechanism on Thermally-induced Fluorescence Imaging to Develop Latent Sweat Fingerprints

Abstract
Objective To explore the mechanism by which the thermally-induced fluorescence imaging can develop latent sweat ifngerprints on paper, and search how to inlfuence the thermally-induced lfuorescence by each of the principal sweat components. Methods The fingerprint carriers are chosen as paper, aluminum foil, glass slides and metal surfaces. The principal components of sweat are separately examined along with the ifngerprint carriers so that the main reason can be determined for lfuorescence to be emitted. Results The experimental results show that it is just the amino acids, when being heated, to produce strong and stable lfuorescence other than the else ingredients of sweat or the carriers. Conclusions The lfuorescent substance is mainly evolved from the 11 kinds of sweat-contained amino acids such as glycine, alanine and serine, bringing us a cornerstone to verify the reaction mechanism of thermally-induced lfuorescence imaging to develop latent sweat ifngerprints.关键词
