Abstract
Since the perforated pipe silencer has a good acoustic attenuation performance and a low pressure loss, it is used to eliminate the noise of the engine exhaust systems. In this paper, influences of the perforation rate, insertion length, circumferential and axial perforation distributions, inflation lumen diameter etc. on the acoustic attenuation performance of the muffler are studied by means of the finite element method. It is concluded that increasing of the perforation rate and decreasing of the insertion length can cause the low-frequency resonance peak to shift to the high frequency direction;increasing of the perforation rate and decreasing of the inflation lumen diameter can widen the frequency range of the effective noise elimination. While the axial and circumferential distributions of perforation have little influence on acoustic attenuation performance of the muffler.关键词
