摘要

Abstract

A familial defect of 35 kV dry-type shunt reactors is introduced, and the causes of the defect are analyzed in this paper. It is found that the installation position of the regulating coil has an important influence on the electric field strength nearby. When the regulating coil is installed at the top of the winding, the local maximum electric field strength near the coil is much larger than that at the bottom of the winding. Partial discharge or breakdown of the regulating coil is easy to oc⁃cur under the condition of the reactor switching overvoltage, which may cause the regulating coil to catch fire and burn the reactor. And the problem existing in the regulating coil manufacturing pro⁃cess is also pointed out. The identification of the familiar defect is introduced. The countermea⁃sures are put forward in the product design, manufacture and maintenance aspects.
