摘要
Abstract
The large power plant’s water intake and outfall proj ect is built on sand founda-tion near the Red Sea shore in Saudi Arabia,we carried out the test on the field trial area by using technical measures combined vibro compaction with low energy dynamic compaction to prevent its liquefaction.Then we compared the data of cone penetration test before and after improving foundation,and made a liquefaction assessment by using Seed simplified a-nalysis method and decency act.The results showed that the original ground will occur liq-uefaction during the seismic and the anti-liquefaction performance increased dramatically af-ter the improvement,the assessment results of two liquefaction evaluation methods all met engineering design requirements.The treatment scheme on the field trial area can be used to design and construction of the proj ect directly.关键词
