Abstract
Objective:To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of retroperitoneal epidermoid cyst ,and introduce surgical ex-perience of robot-assisted laparoscopic resection of huge pelvic retroperitoneal tumor .Methods:The robot-assisted laparoscopic resection of huge pelvic retroperitoneal tumor was carried out in a young male patient .The diagnosis and treatment of retroperitoneal epidermoid cyst were discussed combining with literature .Results:The epidermoid cyst was completely resected during the operation of 1.5 h,with about 8 ml of blood loss .Postoperative pathology identified as epidermoid cyst .The patient was discharged on the seventh postoperative day,and had no evidence of recurrence or metastasis during the follow-up of eight months .Conclusions:Robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery for huge retroperitoneal tumors in the pelvic cavity has good adaptability .The symptoms of retroperitoneal epidermoid cyst need to be differentiated from chordoma and teratoma ,because of nonspecific clinical behaviors;Due to its tendency of infection and cancera-tion,surgical excision should be performed .关键词
