Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of gender , age, Helicobacter pylori ( Hp) infection on pepsinogen , and hierarchically set up the pepsinogen′s reference intervals of physical examination population in Chengdu area , thus to provide reference for early screening of gastric cancer .Methods A total of 2 970 participants were selected from Sichuan Provincial People′s Hospital.The content of PGⅠand PGⅡin serum samples were detected by ELISA , and the ratio of PGⅠ/PGⅡwas calculated .The influences of gender , age, Hp infection on PG were analyzed and its reference intervals were subsequently established .Results The level of PGⅠand PGⅡin male was significantly higher than that in female (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in PGⅠ/PGⅡbetween genders (P>0.05).The PGⅠand PGⅡlev-els were significantly higher in positive Hp infection group than that of negative Hp infection group ( P<0.05);while the PGⅠ/PGⅡwas significantly lower than that in negative Hp infection group (P<0.05).PGⅠand PGⅡwere positively correlated with age (rPGⅠ =0.244, rPGⅡ =0.299, P<0.05.With the growth of age, PGⅠand PGⅡlevels gradually in-creased;and PGⅠ/PGⅡlevel was almost not correlated with age (r=-0.082, P<0.05), and in different groups the reference intervals of PG differed .Conclusion Pepsinogen has correlations with the sex , age, and Hp infection.Accord-ing to the above factors , establishing pepsinogen′s reference intervals of physical examination population in Chengdu area will contribute to the early screening and diagnosis of gastric cancer .关键词
