Abstract

s:The maximum vibration amplitudes of cylinders at upstream and downstream are raised to a larger extent in comparison with single cylinder. The mean resistance against the downstream cylinder is smaller than that of the upstream cylinder, while the root-mean-square (r.m.s) of lift force against the downstream cylinder is smaller than that of the upstream cylinder in case ofUr6.1 but larger in case of6.1rU. In addition, two wake-stream patterns are summarized, i.e. single resistance fluid pattern (SG) and shear-layer attached pattern (AG).
