摘要

Abstract

CF3I is considered as one of the ideal substitutes for Halon 1301 due to its high fire extinguishing performance and environment friendliness. The effect of La promoter on Rb-K/AC catalysts in CF3I synthesis via gas-phase reaction of CHF3 and I2 was investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM), CO2 temperature programmed desorption (CO2-TPD), thermogravimetry (TG/DTG), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS) and activity tests. The results show that mechanical strength and the amount of basic sites of the catalyst are enhanced following the addition of La which affects the interaction between Rb-K and the support. Peak temperature of CO2 is increased by 30℃ and the peak area also increases. In addition, surface concentrations of Rb and K are improved from 5.5%and 7%to 7.2%and 8.1%, respectively after doping 3 wt%La. Consequently, CHF3 conversion rate increases from 40.2%to 58.7%and CF3I selectivity increases from 52.2%to 57.5%following doping of 3%(wt) La into the Rb-K/AC catalyst. La is confirmed as one of the active phases for CF3I synthesis, and LaOF is identified as an efficient component for CHF3 conversion.
