Effect of Different Soil Types and Fertilizer on Seed Hardness of Tunisian Soft-seed Pomegranate
摘要
Abstract
In order to know the effect of different soil types and fertilizer application on the fruit quality ( especially seed hardness) of Tunisia soft-seed pomegranate, we measured the fruit quality and seed hardness of Tunisia soft-seed pomegranate under the conditions of different soil types and different fertilizer application .It was found that the overall quality of fruits of pome-granate on loam was the best among three types of soil , and the seed hardness was the smallest on red soil .Compared with the control, the application of different kinds of fertilizer all could improve the fruit quality of pomegranate .The application of com-pound nitrogen fertilizer could increase the single-fruit weight of pomegranate, while the use of phosphate fertilizer could reduce the seed hardness.Thus, selecting the soil which is suitable for the growth of Tunisia soft-seed pomegranate, and adopting scien-tific and reasonable fertilization method can well improve the yield and quality of pomegranate .关键词
