摘要
Abstract
Occurrence characteristics of the browntail moth, Euproetis similis Fuessly (Lepidoptera:Lymantriidae) in mulberry fields in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province, were reported in the present paper. Reasons for heavy occurrence of browntail moth caterpillars were analyzed based on the climatic condition, cultivation management and the arrangement for silkworm rearing. Outbreaks of Euproetis similis could be inhibited by the prediction of the moths, agricultural prevention and control, a unified program to prevent and control pests, reasonable adjustment to the arrangement for silkworm rearing, and other measures.关键词
