Abstract
Tinnitus is a common complaint defined as a sound perception in the head or ear that occurs in the absence of an external acoustical source. With a variety of forms, tinnitus can be a simple symptom, or associated with other diseas-es. It can be intermittent or continuous, and unilateral or bilateral. Because of its diverse presentations and unclear patho-physiology, so far there has been no ideal treatment. At this time, the key in tinnitus research and intervention is timely and effective protective measures and elimination of potential causative factors for at-risk populations. In this paper, based on re-view of related literature in recent years, the authors have summarized age characteristics, prevalence and risk factors associ-ated with tinnitus.关键词
