Identification and EvaIuation of 12 Varieties or Lines of Gossypium hirsutum Based on SeedIing SaIt ToIerance

Abstract
The seedling height,overground biomass dry weight,underground biomass dry weight,root length,root surface ar-ea,root volume and average root diameter were taken as indexes to identify and evaluate the seedling salt tolerance of 12 Varieties or lines of Gossypium hirsutum after 150 mMNaCl treatment.Principal component analyses were done by the in-dexes which had statistical significance.Then cluster analysis was done with the 4 indexes which had bigger feature vectors in principal component.The results show that the 12 cotton varieties (or lines)can be classified into three categories, class A and control ‘9807’(SRI 56.3%)in the same range,various characters inhibition degree was small,belongs to the salt -resistance;class C and control ‘S9612’(SRI 28.2%)in the same range,various characters inhibition degree was obvious,belongs to the salt -sensitivity;and class B contented ‘N23’,‘N830’and ‘Han 7860’belong to the inter-mediate type.Three salt -tolerance cotton varieties were selected including ‘Jimian27 ’,‘Gansu 894021 xuan’and‘Ji863’.关键词
