Effect of 2-pyrimidinyloxy-N-arylbenzylamine Derivatives on Plant Mitosis

Abstract
Objective] The aim was explore the herbicidal mechanism of 2-pyrimidinyloxy-N-arylbenzylamine derivatives (ZJ0273).[Method] We studied the effect of ZJ0273 on meristematic zone cells and mitosis of onion root tips .[ Result] The onion root tip mitotic index gradually de-creased with ZJ0273 concentration increasing,and the mitotic index also showed a decline trend with the extension of treatment time at the same concentration.The cellular morphology of onion root tip was observed at low concentrations (0.012 5%) and in short time (2 h),and three stages of division mitotic cells could be seen.But the division state cells significantly reduced in high concentration (0.100 0%) treatment after more than 8 h,and meristematic zone had more metaphase cells .[ Conclusion ] The mitotic index of root tips is decreased under the treatment by ZJ0273,and mitosis cells stagnate at the interphase.关键词
