Economic statistics:from German tradition to modern predicaments

Abstract
Four subj ect academic paradigms and three main notions of economic statistics are outlined in regard to different historical schools in economic statistics.Basic issues and constraints of the subj ect are examined from the viewpoint of fundamental arithmetic, indicator and measurement antinomy. Modern predicaments of economic statistics are then analyzed considering the background of modern economics which is the parent discipline.The outlook of economic statistics is then investigated from the aspects of exogenous and endogenous developments,and of structure and discipline academic level.关键词
