Abstract
Objective:To investigate the value of evidence-based nursing in pressure ulcers prevention and its influence on self-nursing ability of orthopedic patients.Methods:A Total of 200 orthopedic bedridden patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,with 100 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional treatment,while the observation group was applied with the evidence-based nursing.The incidence of pressure ulcers were compared between two groups.The self-nurs-ing ability of patients was assessed by the exercise of self-care agency scale (ESCA)three days after treatment and at discharge respec-tively.The satisfaction of patients to nursing service was evaluated by self-made questionnaire at discharge.Results:The incidence of pressure ulcers was 7.00% (7/100)in the observation group,which was significant lower than 18.00% (18/100)of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05 ).The total score and score of each dimension in ESCA were significant higher in the observation group than those in the control group at discharge (P<0.01).The observation group had higher nursing satis-faction rate compared with the control group (92.00% vs.82.00%,P<0.05).Conclusion:The evidence-based nursing is effective to reduce the risk of pressure ulcers,and to improve self-nursing ability and nursing satisfaction among orthopedic patients.关键词
