Abstract
Objective:To analyze the risk factors for phlebitis in department of pediatrics and survey the nurses’cognition on these risk factors.Methods:A total of 1 16 infants with phlebitis due to intravenous injection served as observation group,while another 1 16 infants without phlebitis as control group.General data were compared between two groups,and multivariate Logistic regression a-nalysis was conducted.Another 64 nurses were selected to survey their cognition degree and observe their cognition on the risk factors for phlebitis.Results:There were significant differences between two groups in infusion speed,retaining duration of trocars,strong drug irritation,correct fixed methods,puncture sites (opisthenar),operation in aseptic conditions and pH value of the solution (P<0.01). Logistic regression analysis showed that above factors were independent risk factors for phlebitis (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Nurses were high in cognition degree in fixed methods (96.9%),puncture technique (90.6%),drug concentration (87.5%),osmotic pressure (85.9%)and retaining duration of trocars (81.3%),but were low in pH value (29.7%),puncture sites (45.3%/59.4%),aseptic operation (48.4%)and infusion speed (56.3%).Conclusion:Infusion speed,correct fixed methods,puncture sites (opisthenar),pH value of the solution,operation in aseptic conditions,retaining duration of trocars and strong drug irritation are risk factors for phlebitis in department of pediatrics.Nurses are incomplete in cognition of phlebitis,whose cognition needs to be further enhanced.关键词
