谈“销红”的使用及其在“双脸销红”中词义
Discussion on the Usage of “Xiaohong” and Its Meaning in “Shuanglian Xiaohong”
摘要
Abstract
There is a sentence "She is dressed up, with both sides of her face are red” in Biography of Yingying, in which"xiaohong"is only a temporary combination."Xiao" means"melt" and"hong" refers to"rouge", so"xiaohong" is extended to"makeup", not a fixed word to describe red color. Combing the use of"xiaohong" in ancient poems, we can find that"xiaohong" is used very flexibly, and is often used to describe the"fadeaway" of"red color" (including flowers, faces and candles, etc.), and the positive description of "red" is few, but often connected with"make up". And there is another edition for it, called"duanhong", only when"xiaohong"has the meaning of “makeup” , can it be replaced by "duanhong".关键词
