Abstract
To strengthen and update the structures of Berths 5 & 6 at Tianjin Port, a new mooring dolphin structure is proposed and used to support the existing facility. The updated berth, with its new structure in combination with the old structure jointly resisting the actions from mooring and berthing ships, has raised its capacity for receiving larger ships. The practice of updating the berths can serve as a reference for design of similar works in the future.关键词
