Abstract
Objective To explore the short term efficacy of laparoscopic assisted distal gastrectomy versus traditional open surgery for elderly patients with gastric cancer and its effect on serum levels ofTNF-α,IL-6,and CRP.Methods 52 elderly patients with distal gastric cancer treated at our hospital were collected and were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group,26 cases for each group. The control group were treated by traditional open surgery and the experimental group laparoscopic assisted distal gastrectomy. After the treatment, the serum levels ofturnor necrosis factor α (TNF-α),intefleukin-6 (IL-6),and C reactive protein (CRP),the intra-operative conditions, the short-term-outcome-related indicators, and the incidence of complications were compared between these two groups. Results The operation time was (266.57±38.07) min in the experimental group, which was longer than that in the control group;the intra-operative bleeding volume was (172.65±24.06) ml,which was lower than that in the control group;with statistical differences (P < 0.05).The postoperative ventilation time, the first feeding time, and the postoperative hospitalization time were significantly shorter in the experimental group than in the control group, with statistical differences (P < 0.05).The serum levels of TNF-α,IL-6,and CRP were lower in the experimental group than in the control group (P < 0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications was 11.53% in the experimental group and was 38.46% in the control group, with a statistical difference (P < 0.01).Conclusions Compared with traditional open surgery for gastric cancer, laparoscopic assisted distal gastrectomy for elderly patients with gastric cancer has longer operation time but lower intra-operative bleeding volume, better short-term curative effect, and fewer postoperative complications,so it is worth being clinically gerneralized.关键词
