Chemotherapy in the treatment of osteosarcoma in oral maxillofacial-head and neck region

Abstract
Osteosarcoma is one of the rare malignant tumors in the maxillofacial region. Synthetic sequential therapy including radical resection and adjuvant radio-chemotherapy is the most effective currently. Chemotherapy is an important part in synthetic sequential therapy. In the existing chemotherapy regimens, traditional chemotherapy such as MAP(methotrexate, adriacin, cisplatin) plays a key role in the treatment of osteosarcoma in oral maxillofacial-head and neck region. In addition, some other regimens such as neoadjuvant chemotherapy, electrochemical therapy are also proposed in recent years, but their effectiveness remains to be investigated. Chemotherapy has a significant effect on improving the prognosis of osteosarcoma. With the gradual development of the cognition of osteosarcoma molecular biology in recent years, it has become a new trend to study the chemical drugs for tumor cells in the level of molecular biology. This paper reviews the application of chemotherapy in the treatment of osteosarcoma in oral and maxillofacial-head and neck region.关键词
