Abstract
Objective To retrospectively study the positioning application of fluorescein sodium to glioma operation . Methods sixteen cases with brain glioma patients were randomly divided into control group and fluorescein group which car‐ried out fluorescein sodium to locate during operation .Tumor resection rate ,Karnofsky scale three months after operation and brain MRI examination six months after operation were performed .Results Two cases received total tumor resection and six cases received subtotal tumor resection in the control group .Seven cases were treated by total tumor resection and one cases by subtotal tumor resection in the fluorescein group .Karnofsky scale showed that the effective rate of control group was 12.5%and that of fluorescein group was 50% .Brain MRI reexamination during following-up indicated that two cases had tumor recur‐rence in the control group but no one in the fluorescein group .Conclusion Applying fluorescein sodium which may be regarded as a guideline to glioma operation can judge the tumors’ edge directly in sight ,so it is helpful to shorten operation time and raise the total resection rate by a economic and convenient way .关键词
