Abstract
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of serum CA72‐4 ,CA242 ,CA19‐9 and carcino‐embryonic antigen (CEA) for gastric cancer .Methods Serum levels of CA72‐4 ,CA242 ,CA19‐9 and CEA in 193 patients with gastric cancer ,106 patients with benign gastric diseases and 86 healthy controls were measured by electrochemiluminescence assay ,and all data was analyzed by the one‐way analysis of variance ,Logistic regression ,receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and partial least square discrini‐nant analysis (PLS‐DA) .Results The levels of serum CA242 and CEA in the stageⅠ - Ⅱgastric cancer group were significantly higher than those in the benign gastric diseases and healthy control group(P<0 .05) .The levels of serum CA72‐4 ,CA242 ,CA19‐9 and CEA in the stage Ⅲ - Ⅳgastric cancer group were significantly higher than those in the stageⅠ - Ⅱgastric cancer group ,be‐nign gastric diseases and healthy control group(P<0 .01) .The area under the Logistic regression‐ROC curve of the 4‐marker com‐bination was 0 .956[95% confidence interval (95% CI):0 .938 -0 .957] ,the cutoff value (probability) was 0 .56 ,sensitivity and specificity were 86 .0% and 95 .3% respectively .The accuracies of PLS‐DA model for the gastric cancer group and non‐gastric canc‐er group (benign gastric diseases and healthy controls) were 83 .4% and 81 .8% respectively .The accuracies of PLS‐DA model for stage Ⅰ - Ⅱ and Ⅲ - Ⅳ gastric cancer were 100 .0% and 82 .9% respectively .Conclusion The PLS‐DA model based on serum CA72‐4 ,CA242 ,CA19‐9 and CEA is helpful for the differentiation and the stage diagnosis of gastric cancer .关键词
