摘要

Abstract

The excellent performance of the industrial microbial strains is important for enterprise to keep a sustainable competitive advantage. Therefore, it is still one of the core content to cultivate new microbial strains of high quality and high yield for the innovation and development of biological breeding industry. As an effective mutation method, heavy ion irradiations have been widely used in biological breeding industry. This paper mainly reviews the molecular mechanism of DNA mutation induced by heavy ion irradiations in living organism, and relative research progress of microbial breeding in China. Meanwhile, the application of special equipment for heavy ion breeding is dicussed.
