Abstract
Objective To investigate the incidence of cancer pain and its effects on quality of life (QOL)among cancer patients before radiotherapy.Methods One-hundred patients who received CT localization in the outpatient depart-ment were investigated by the Europe Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core 30 (EORTC QLQ-C30,Chinese version).Results Among the 1 00 cases who prepared for radiotherapy,42 cases had cancer pain,including 33 cases of mild pain,7 cases of moderate pain and 2 cases of severe pain.Compared with patients without pain,patients with pain had significantly lower scores in physical function,role function,emotional function and cognitive function (P<0.05),but had higher score in general health condition (P<0.01 ).Multiple linear regression a-nalysis showed that the most severe pain and average pain during 24 h have the most obvious effects on the quality of life. Besides,patients who needed pain medication had lower scores of cognitive function,whereas women and patients with higher education had lower scores in social function (P<0.05 ).Conclusion Cancer pain affected the quality of life of cancer patients in many aspects,especially on physical function,role function and social function.关键词
