Investigation on professional identity of male nurses in operation room of grade 2 class A general hospitals and influenc-ing factors analysis

Abstract
Objective To investigate the status quo and influencing factors of professional identity of male nurses in the operation room of the class 2A general hospitals. Methods Four grade 2 class A hospitals in Banan District of Chongqing City were selected. The professional identity in 40 male nurses was investigated by using the Nurses Professional Identity Rating Scale (2009) and the influencing factors were analyzed by single factor and multiple factor analysis. Results The occupation identity score in 40 male nurses of operation room was in the middle level. The dimensional scores of cognitive evaluation and sociability were higher,while,but the two dimensional scores of social support identity and self-reflection were poor. The working years ,daily working hours and monthly income were the main factors influencing the professional identity of male nurses in operation room , the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The professional identity of male nurses in the operation room of the grade 2 class A general hospitals is entirely in the middle level ,it is necessary to strengthen the intervention to male nurses with long working years,long daily working hours and less monthly income in order to improve the overall professional identity.关键词
