摘要

Abstract

The adsorption ability of biochars BCs towards contaminants depends on its physicochemical property which is associat⁃ed with the raw materials.In this paper biochars were prepared by pyrolysis carbonization from three feedstock sources of Fraxinus mandshurica sawdust FM Peanut shell PS and Cow dung CM .The biomass was pyrolyzed at 400 ℃ for 4 h.The yielded ash content and element composition and surface functional groups of the obtained biochars were measured.The products were character⁃ized by X⁃ray diffraction XRD Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy FTIR and field emission scanning electron microscope FESEM . The adsorption properties for Pb2+ were investigated. The adsorption kinetics and isotherm of Pb2+ on the modified biochars at 298 K and pH 5.5 were analyzed by the pseudo⁃second order model and Langmuir model.The maximum lead adsorption capacities were 11.99 31.9 and 181.82 mg·g-1 for FM⁃BC、PS⁃BC and CM⁃BC giving the order of the adsorption capacity CM⁃BC>PS⁃BC>FM⁃BC.The corresponding adsorption rate constants were 0.001 37 0.000 78 and 0.068 g·mg-1� min-1 suggesting the order of CM⁃BC>FM⁃BC>PS⁃BC.The result indicates that the sources of the biomass feedstock are of significance.
