摘要
Abstract
Background Epidemiological studies has shown that metabolic syndrome( MS)and benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)were closely related. MS may be a risk factor for exacerbating BPH,and some indicators of MS may be predictive factors of BPH. Objective To explore the influence of each component of MS on BPH,analyze the possible risk factors of BPH progression, thus to provide basis for clinical prevention and treatment of BPH. Methods Two hundred and fourteen BPH patients combined with MS,who were admitted into Department of Urology of Beijing Anzhen Hospital,Capital Medical University from January 2013 to October 2014,were chosen as research objects. Age,history of smoke and alcohol, body mass index( BMI)were recorded, and levels of low density lipoprotein cholesterol( LDL-C),blood uric acid, and microalbuminuria were detected. Prostate volume and residual urine volume in bladder were measured by B - ultrasound, maximal urinary flow rate were measured by urodynamics analyzer, severity of lower urinary tract symptoms were evaluated by International Prostate Symptom Score( IPSS). Results Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that age had significant effects on prostate volume, residual urine volume in bladder, maximal urinary flow rate, and IPSS( b = 0. 223,0. 778, - 0. 151, 0. 116,P < 0. 01),LDL-C significantly affected maximal urinary flow rate(b = - 0. 441,P < 0. 01),and microalbuminuria was the influencing factor for IPSS in BPH patients combined with MS(b = 0. 023,P < 0. 01). Conclusion MS and BPH are closely related,LDL-C and microalbuminuria may be the common feature of MS and MS,which exacerbates BPH development.关键词
