摘要

Abstract

In order to investigate the presence of Toxoplasmagondii infection in pork products in slaughter houses and markets in large cities Chongqing, Guangzhou and Shanghai, 393 pig diaphragmatic muscle samples were collected and treated with pepsin digestion. Genomic DNA of the treated samples were extracted and detected in PCR using a pair of speciifc primers based on a 529 bp repetitive fragment gene of T.gondii. The results showed that the overall positive rate of T.gondii in these 3 cities was 5.34%with the highest in Chongqing (9.83%), followed by Shanghai (3.17%) but no positive samples in Guangzhou. There was no signiifcant difference in positive rates between summer and autumn, or slaughter houses and markets. These results indicated that T. gondii infection occured in pigs in Chongqing and Shanghai. Therefore, comprehensive measures should be implemented to reduce Toxoplasma infection in human and pigs and increase proift of animal industry.
