Abstract
Objective To analyze the relationships between serum miR-21 content and oxidative stress in-dicators in patients with diabetic nephropathy (DN). Methods Eighty-two diabetic nephropathy patients in our hospital were chosen as observation group and divided into early diabetic nephropathy group (47 cases) and advanced diabetic nephropathy group (35 cases). In the same period, 60 healthy people who received physical examination were chosen as normal control group. Serum miR-21 content, and the levels of superoxide dismu-tase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA) and advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP) were tested in each group, and the their correlations were further analyzed. Results The serum miR-21 content in the early dia-betic nephropathy group and the advanced diabetic nephropathy group was lower than that in the normal con-trol group. The serum miR-21 content in the advanced diabetic nephropathy group was lower than that in the early diabetic nephropathy group. The serum SOD, MDA and AOPP levels in the early diabetic nephropathy and the advanced diabetic nephropathy group were higher than those in the normal control group. The serum SOD, MDA and AOPP levels in the advanced diabetic nephropathy group were higher than those in the early diabetic nephropathy group. The serum miR-21 content had negative correlations with SOD, MDA and AOPP. Conclusions Serum miR-21 content reduces in diabetic nephropathy patients, and it is in negative correla-tions with the levels of oxidative stress parameters. It is expected to become one of the effective indexes for diagnosis and treatment of diabetic nephropathy.关键词
