Abstract
Objective To explore the correlation of Cys-C and IL-8, and analyze its application value in bronchial asthma. Methods Totally 157 patients with bronchial asthma received treatment in our hospital, and discharged from our hospital when their disease state was stable. According to the patient's condition at admission, they were divided into 4 groups;there were 43 cases in remission stage in group A, 42 cases in mild acute attack stage in group B, 39 cases in moderate acute attack stage in group C and 33 cases in severe acute attack stage in group D. And 110 healthy people were enrolled into control group. The content of serum Cys-C and IL-8 was measured, sputum cells were accounted and sorted, and lung function was tested in each group. Results The Cys-C level of the control group, group A, group B, group C and group D was (275.69 ± 32.90) pg/ml, (385.83 ± 49.84) pg/ml, (537.83 ±53.29) pg/ml, (794.26±66.83) pg/ml and (993.78±89.24) pg/ml respectively. The plasma Cys-C level of the groups B, C and D was higher than that of the group A and the control group ( < 0.05); and the plasma Cys-C level of the group D was higher than that of the groups B and C ( < 0.05). The serum IL-8 level of the groups B, C and D was (499.63±75.84) pg/ml, (586.73 ± 72.38) pg/ml and (625.92 ± 98.43) pg/ml respectively, which was higher than (425.38 ± 84.96) pg/mL of the group A and (283.6 ± 49.35) pg/ml of the control group, the differences were statistically significant ( < 0.05); but there was no statistical difference between the group A and the control group ( > 0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that Cys-C level of the patients in acute attack period was in negative correlations with FEV1 ( =-0.585, =0.008), PEF%expectation ( =-0.493, =0.019) and FEV1/FVC ( = -0.583, = 0.007), while in positive correlations with IL-8 ( = 0.637, = 0.003), total number of induced sputum cells ( = 0.425, = 0.011) and percentage of eosinophiles ( = 0.485, = 0.019). Conclusions With the development of bronchial asthma, the serum levels of Cys-C and IL-8 significantly increase, and Cys-C is associated with IL-8, which can be used as an indicator of asthma control.关键词
