Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of dietary intervention for elderly patients with mental illness. Methods 61 cases of elderly patients with mental illness cured in our hospital were divided into experiment group and control group according to the principle of random distribution. 31 cases were divided into experiment group and they were treated with quality nursing intervention, and 30 cases were divided into control group and they were treated with routine nursing intervention. Nursing situations of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results The dietary compliance and the family satisfaction of control group were significantly lower than those of experiment group(P< 0.05). The choking and aspiration and death rate of control group were significantly higher than those of experiment group(P<0.05). There were significant difference. Conclusion High quality nursing intervention for elderly patients with mental illness not only can effectively improve the patient's dietary compliance and patient's family nursing satisfaction, but also reduce the incidence of patients with food accidents. It is Recommended to promote.
