摘要

Abstract

To improve the condensation heat transfer performance of vertical condensers,the experi-ment about condensation heat transfer performance of the shell side was conducted on the enhance-ment features of trisection helical baffles with different liquid draining structures.The studied vertical condenser used a common shell with replaceable cores,and the testing cores included six trisection helical baffle tube bundles and a segment one.The experimental results show that the shell side con-densation heat transfer coefficient of the vertical trisection helical baffle condensers is 1 .48 to 2.65 times than that of the segment one,in which the shell side heat transfer coefficient in the best scheme adopting dual-thread and variable angled baffles with liquid dam increases 144.4% than that of the segment one.The shell side heat transfer coefficients in single thread variable angle schemes are,on average,25 .47% higher than the corresponding single thread single angle ones;the shell side heat transfer coefficient in the dual-thread variable angle helical baffle schemes is,on average,15.74%higher than the corresponding single-thread variable angle ones;and the shell side heat transfer coef-ficients in the helical baffle schemes with liquid dam are,on average,6 .37%higher than the corre-sponding ones without liquid dam.
