组合附体对双体船水动力性能的影响分析
Influence of built-up appendage on hydrodynamics of catamarans

Abstract
Catamarans feature low resistance, fast speed, good maneuverability, and a large deck area. However, due to their small length to breadth ratio, catamarans can twist in oblique waves. To improve the seakeeping per-formance of fast catamarans, T-foils have been used as stabilizing appendages to provide added mass and damping. However, one of the disadvantages of using T-foils is the increase in total resistance. In this work, our objective was to reduce the resistance of a T-foil-assisted catamaran by fitting flaps beneath both sterns to alter the hull trim. For this purpose, we conducted both numerical simulations and model experiments in a range of advancing speeds to in-vestigate the resistance and seakeeping performance of catamarans with/without flaps and T-foils. Our results indi-cate that at high-speed navigation with Froude numbers from 0.5~0.8 in calm water, the resistance of the flaps-and-T-foils-assisted catamaran was slightly lower, and the heave and pitch response amplitude operator ( RAO) values in waves were 11.2% and 21.3%, respectively, which are lower than those of unassisted catamarans. We also veri-fied the validity of our catamaran hydrodynamic optimization method that employs a built-up appendage comprising flaps and T-foils.关键词
