The Effect of Parenting Style on Adolescents’Cyber Bullying:The Mediating Role of Empathy
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship among parenting styles,empathy and cyber bullying behavior of adolescents.Methods:773 middle school students anonymously completed EMBU,Basic Empathy Scale,Cyber bull-ying Inventory.Results:①Parental rej ection and parental over-protection were positively correlated with cyber bull-ying behavior(r=0.180,0.155;P<0.001);Parental emotional warmth was negatively correlated with cyber bullying (r=-0.136,P<0.001);②Cognitive empathy might mediate the effect of parental rejection and parental emotional warmth on adolescents’cyber bullying.Conclusion:Parenting style can predict cyber bullying of addescents,and cog-nitive empathy plays a mediating role on parental rej ection,emotional warmth and cyber bullying.关键词
